This informal roundtable aimed at scoping what is ahead for global trade policy with attention to regional and bilateral initiatives.
Building on and in complement to the WTO, other venues of integration to global markets have become a key fixture in the global trade policy landscape, pioneering ways to tackle 21st century economy features and governing world trade. In the next few years, a growing share of activity is expected to take place on the bilateral and RTA front, but the vector of this effort is less clear. Data and new policy initiatives suggest that we’re in for a Eurasian or Trans-Pacific pivot. To some, we’re headed into a recess, a risk of retreat, or a revamping of integration. Which is it?
Participation in this informal roundtable is by invitation only.
